About us

Hello and welcome to The Grange!

Oborne has been our home for the past 20 years since our family bought the hotel in 2003.

As a family we live just around the corner from the hotel – don’t be surprised if you come across one of our children up a tree in the garden!

Everyone at The Grange works extremely hard to make sure each guest that comes through our door feels welcomed and at home.

The Grange at Oborne has been inspected by Quality in Tourism for Responsible, Ethical and Sustainable Tourism. We were delighted to have received a silver award and we continue to work to improve in this area. Click the image to find out more about this.

Gold at the Dorset Tourism Awards! In the Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Category. This was the most entered category and we were delighted to have won it. We also picked up a bronze award for hotel of the year.

Another award! We were delighted to have picked up a Gold Award from Taste of The West

And another! We travelled to the Eden Project to attend the South West Tourism awards (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and the Isles of Scilly) and were stunned to walk away with a silver award! This was in the Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable category.

Access statement

We have a 22kw car charger at the hotel. Until recently, we have asked for a donation to a charity in exchange for charging your car. Sadly, with energy prices as they are, this is no longer feasible and we now make a charge of £30.
