We left the elf in the conservatory last night but this morning I found it asleep on the bar - I think I may need to do a stock take! Also it turns out that a snoring, sleeping elf is actually very heavy but with the help of the chefs we managed to move her before the Sherborne Scribblers came in for their Christmas party at lunchtime!

We had a surprise visitor today - I think it’s going to be a very long December! 🤣

It’s a lot more wintery out there in the early mornings but how lovely is the web and dew. We’ve been closed for one week so that everyone could have a break after working so hard all summer. There was a very special ring bearer at the wedding yesterday - Lily, she played her part beautiful and then spent the rest of the day under a table in the restaurant whilst the wedding party celebrated in the Regent Room.
