An A – Z of hotel services

Archers (The)

If you like to listen to The Archers, or any other radio programme, please use channels 700-728 on your television.

Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 9.30 am every day in the restaurant. If you have booked on a room only basis, we will assume that you are not eating with us unless you tell us otherwise at check in.

In line with government guidelines, we will not be servicing rooms for guests who are staying for three nights or fewer.  This is to protect both you and the housekeepers at the hotel.

If you are staying for three nights or longer and would like your room serviced, please let us know the night before.  The room will need to be vacant whilst it is serviced.  Alternatively, we can leave some extra supplies outside of your room, please let us know at reception.

Dinner and drinks

Dinner is served from 6.30 pm and last orders are taken at 8.30 pm and the Bar is open until 10.00 pm.  With socially distanced dining in place, please ensure you have booked your table for dinner.

In case of any emergency, please DIAL 0 from your bedroom telephone.  To telephone the emergency services directly please DIAL 9 999 from your bedroom telephone.

Please carefully read the FIRE NOTICE and FIRE ESCAPE ROUTE PLAN that are displayed in your room.  The fire assembly point is outside the front entrance.  Please do not leave this area until you have been told to do so by either a member of staff or a fire officer.

As we feel that only good service should be rewarded, gratuities are not included in restaurant or hotel bills; gratuities are entirely at your discretion.  If you would like to leave something for the staff, please give it to reception.  Gratuities are divided between all staff.

Please do say hello to us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

In your room

In the room, you will see that non-essential items have been removed, but rest assured that everything in the bedroom will have been sanitised following a strict protocol.  The cleaning product used throughout the hotel (Stabilised Aqueous Ozone) has been tested and approved for use against SARS-CoV-2.  Linen is washed at over 60°C. And for peace of mind, we have left a pack of sanitising wipes in each room.

Just call for room service

If you would like to have a lunch or dinner tray delivered to your room please click here to see the menu.  This service is available during normal restaurant hours.  Please be aware that there may be a delay during busy periods. Drinks are available at normal bar prices.  A room service charge of £3.00 will be added to your final account.

We regret that we do not offer room service breakfast.

Public areas

We have increased the number of times that common ‘touch points’ around the entrance, reception and corridors are sanitised each day.  There are also seating areas in the garden.

Please do let us know if you have any questions about the hotel or the area.

Reception opens at 7.30 am and closes at 10.30 pm.  To contact reception by telephone dial 0.  After 10.30 pm please contact reception only in an emergency.

Under the weather?

Please remain in your room and contact reception.  For advice over the telephone you can contact the NHS Non-Emergency care service; please dial 9 111.  Yeovil District Hospital is 15 minutes away and has an A&E Department.

We are only offering express check out:  You simply need to leave your key in the post box and your card will be charged and your invoice emailed to you after you leave.

All hotel bedrooms and public areas have Wifi; it is free to use and is easily joined with your name and email address. We are delighted that, after years of struggling with internet speeds of 2 mb, in July 2020 we had ultrafast internet installed with speeds of 300 mb.  Enjoy your HD film.

We love Christmas at The Grange; we have eight real trees, all beautifully decorated, two log fires and festive spirit to rival St Nic himself.  Why not consider a visit to us during December to charge your batteries before the family descend?

…this list was very tricky to compile

Our bedrooms have standard pillows. If, however you prefer a feather pillow, please contact reception.
